Katie

SOUTH WEST

Bodmin, Newquay, Rock, Wadebridge, Camelford and Surrounding Villages

Exercise, health, and fitness have been part of Katie's life for many years. She

understands and appreciates how important being active and exercising is for

peoples physical and mental health and wellbeing. Passionate about helping

people with varying abilities improve all aspects of their health in a supportive

and welcoming way, she believes that its important exercise and physical

activity is inclusive, enjoyable and accessible to everyone.

Katie has a personal understanding and appreciation of the difficulties faced

by those living with a chronic health condition, since she was a carer for her

mum who suffered with significant medical conditions. It was a personal injury

in 2016 that sparked Katie’s interest in rehabilitation, inspiring her to specialise

in exercise for clinical populations.

Since qualifying as a Gym Instructor in 2018, she has gone on to become an

experienced GP Exercise Referral Specialist, Personal trainer and Long-Term

Conditions Specialist Trainer. Over the years she has gained valuable hands-

on practical experience, instructing an array of clients from beginners to more

advanced, both in a group setting and one to one. She is skilled in adapting

and progressing exercise programmes to suit individual needs and goals and

delivers inclusive, tailored programmes for individuals of all abilities.

Alongside working with general population clients she works extensively with

clients managing neurological and chronic health conditions, including

Parkinson’s, stroke, MS, peripheral neuropathy, COPD, hypertension, limb

impairments, mental health conditions, and more.

Katie is empathetic, approachable and non-judgemental. She is known for her

fun, warm, and compassionate style, and she is young at heart. She enjoys

hiking on the coast path with her dog Scruffy in her spare time.

Katie is currently completing her advanced teacher training (Stage 2) with

leading mindfulness organisation ‘Breathworks’ to become an accredited
