Carolyn is a qualified Personal Trainer with a background in Sport Psychology and specialist training in exercise for special populations. Following completion of her Sport Psychology degree, she gained a Personal Training Diploma and a Level 3 Personal Training qualification (Active IQ). Carolyn also qualified as an NVQ Assessor and Internal Verifier, delivering and assessing Level 2 and Level 3 Gym Instruction and Personal Training qualifications, alongside Level 3 Leisure Management.

Throughout her career, Carolyn has gained extensive experience supporting individuals of different ages, abilities, and health needs to improve their strength, mobility, confidence, and overall wellbeing.

As her personal training career has developed, she has established a particular interest in supporting older adults and individuals living with long-term health and neurological conditions, recognising the importance of maintaining physical function, independence, and quality of life as people age.

Carolyn has valuable experience working with individuals living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), including providing ongoing personalised exercise support to a wheelchair user over a five-year period. Through tailored strength and mobility training, she has supported improvements in movement, physical function, and confidence. Her experience also includes working with clients into their late eighties, adapting exercise programmes to accommodate age-related changes, individual abilities, and existing health conditions.

Carolyn's approach is rooted in person-centred care, encouragement, and functional strength development. She strongly believes that age or a health condition should not define an individual's physical capabilities and that exercise should be appropriately challenging, accessible, and tailored to personal goals. With a particular focus on strength, mobility, and maintaining independence, Carolyn is passionate about empowering individuals to remain active, confident, and physically capable throughout later life.
